My mom and I went to Zoo Lights last night. The whole Zoo was lit up with animal shaped lights! A few real animals were hanging out as well– we saw some monkeys, elephants and snakes. Most other animals were sleeping though.

Jewel at the Zoo
Went to a Jewel concert tonight at the Oregon Zoo. She’s got an amazing voice, is a good story teller, and has lead a very interesting life. She had both Sarah and I teary eyed at times. Anyways, one of the funny parts of the show was this song she wrote just before the concert about our new home city, Portland. A great summary of all the things that make PDX an interesting place.
